We gathered last week for our final B Hive book club of 2017! Not only was it the last book club of the year but it was our 2 year anniversary party!
We were so excited to look back on the last two years and reminisce on all the fun times we’ve had and all the books we’ve read! We’ve read so many books that we can’t even keep track of what we’ve read and haven’t read!
One of the things that makes The B Hive Apiary events so different is that our members show up when they say they will. It’s one of our founding principles and something we encourage in everyone.
For our November Book Club we read The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware. A suspenseful whodunnit book set in the Fjords of Scandinavia it was a great read! Everyone loved it!
Synopsis via Good Reads:
In this tightly wound story, Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. At first, Lo’s stay is nothing but pleasant: the cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, gray skies fall, and Lo witnesses what she can only describe as a nightmare: a woman being thrown overboard. The problem? All passengers remain accounted for—and so, the ship sails on as if nothing has happened, despite Lo’s desperate attempts to convey that something (or someone) has gone terribly, terribly wrong…
With surprising twists and a setting that proves as uncomfortably claustrophobic as it is eerily beautiful, Ruth Ware offers up another intense read.
